We plan to visit disneyland on May 16 and Adventure park on May 18. I cannot make a reservation online since the dates are not showing up. Can i buy the tickets at the gate?

Hi there, Shiela! Welcome to planDisney!

I understand that you wish to visit the Happiest Place on Earth next week! I can't blame you! If I were granted three wishes, all three would be to visit the Disneyland Resort! I guess that would make it pretty easy on the Genie, huh? Speaking of the Genie, have you heard about the Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ services yet? The free Disney Genie service helps customize your day to fit in the most activities that your group will love. It is like your personal assistant, helping you maximize the magic when you visit the parks! The Disney Genie+ is a paid add-on to your ticket, allowing you faster access to the rides and attractions that you choose to reserve! Once you finalize your plans, check out how the Genie can help you!

I'm sorry that you're not finding any theme park reservations on the days you'd like to visit. It gets tougher and tougher the closer it gets to those dates, as the parks tend to reach their reservation limit. My best recommendation is to utilize this handy Mouseketool, the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. Though you may not see the parks you'd like to visit available right now, there is a chance that new reservations will open up when other Guests' plans change. I'd suggest refreshing this site multiple times per day leading up to your trip. You never know when you'll be pixie-dusted!

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend showing up at the Disneyland Resort hoping to enter the parks that day without making reservations ahead of time. If there are still no park reservations that day, the Cast Members at the gate will be unable to wave their magic wands and make them appear. Now, you could always give it a try and plan on hanging out in the Downtown Disney District if you are unable to enter the parks. But that proves to be a pretty risky decision and may not be the outcome you were hoping for.

Shiela, I know this isn't the answer you were hoping to hear, but I'll keep my ears crossed that you're able to find reservations before the dates you'd like to visit!

    Have a magical day,
