Hi. I plan to come visit disney with 2 kids and my boy has no patience to wait on line. He gets tired and constantly needs to go potty while in line. He will start running around on line and climbing on railings. Is there a solution or maybe a small stool?

    Hey there, hi there, Steven!

Nearly all of my Walt Disney World vacations include my grandchildren, who are all under age four. Believe me, I know how you feel trying to keep your little guy content waiting in line for rides and attractions. I've got a few tricks up my sleeves for my tiny people, and maybe they'll help you.

First, a true vacation saver for my family is the new Disney Genie Service. The first thing it does is allow you to select the things that are priorities for you, then it builds a customized itinerary for you. But then, even better, you can use Genie+ to select return times to some of the attractions, and this may help you skip a lot of the wait time. Instead of waiting in the standby lines, you'll go straight to the Lightning Lane entrances to bypass some of the long lines. You can even bump up your experience by purchasing two Individual Lightning Lane attractions during the day. We've had virtually no wait with this option.

I also am kind of a stickler for making sure the kids go potty before we get in line. I always tell them if Merma has to go, we all have to go, and so far, it's working. But I also keep a backpack full of things to entertain them while they wait. I usually hit the dollar store or discount bins and look for little books or toys that I can pull out when the kids get impatient. We even play games on my phone if things get dicey, and I am not opposed to a sing-along.

I hope things go better than you expect, Steven!
