We plan to visit again this year, and to get a sitter for our dog to stay home. We also plan to book a pet friendly on site room in the event of a last minute issue with the sitter. If we opt out of housekeeping, do employees enter the room during the day?

Hello Susan and thanks for bringing this dog-gone great question to planDisney!

Disney understands that dogs are truly part of the family, which is why they offer four paw-some pet-friendly hotels where your furry best friend can join the magic:

    Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
    Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Now, here’s the scoop... if your dog is in the room, Cast Members won’t enter to ensure your pet stays as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Think of it as Disney’s way of saying, “no bones about it, your pup’s happiness is top dog!”

On top of that, Pluto is ready to pamper his furry pals! Every dog staying at a pet-friendly Disney Resort gets a special Welcome Kit, filled with goodies tailored to make your pup’s stay even more magical. This thoughtful bundle ensures both you and your four-legged companion have a tail-waggingly wonderful vacation experience.

Wishing you a paws-itively magical day,
    Anne
