I would like to plan a vacation for summer 2022, how can I go about do this for a family of 7-8

    Welcome to planDisney, Zowie!

Zowie, as a guest who loves to have vacations on our calendar years in advance, I appreciate that you’re planning ahead! And as Olaf said, “sometimes I like to close my eyes and imagine what it’ll be like when summer does come” so let’s imagine what the perfect summer vacation might look like for you!

First, I’m happy to report that you are already able to book a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel for summer 2022. If you have travel dates already in mind, you can check availability by entering those dates. Since you have a family of seven or eight Mouseketeers that will be visiting, I encourage you to think about a few different sleeping arrangements.

Depending on the make-up of your traveling party (the number of adults and kids) you may opt for multiple standard hotel rooms or you may want to explore some of the larger villa options.

If you have two or more smaller family units traveling together (for a total of seven or eight) and you’d like separate hotel rooms, I encourage you to check availability just for the number of guests in one hotel room. This will allow you to see what resorts are available for your dates. Currently you are unable to book multiple hotel rooms online under one booking. If you would like to book multiple rooms together, you’ll want to call into the Disney Resorts Hotel reservations line and speak with a Cast Member. Alternatively you can book one room and have another adult who will be the lead guest in another room also book online. For separate families traveling together, this is a great option that allows you to manage your own plans while still planning together!

If you wish to stay all together, you will see a limited number of suites available at a few select Disney Resorts Collection hotels. To view what resorts offer suites that will accommodate your party, simply modify the number of guests in your party to the total of seven or eight. Now, if you’d like to stay all together but are looking for more choices, I encourage you to take a look at the Disney Vacation Club Resorts where you will find 2-Bedroom Villas that sleep eight or nine guests. Unfortunately availability for guests paying cash at Disney Vacation Club Resorts does not show up until 11 months prior to check-in, so you would not be able to secure a booking at this time. You can, however, browse through the collection of Disney Vacation Club Resorts to determine if this is a good fit for your family.

After you've made some decisions about accommodations, take a look at the ticket options which can be bundled together to create a vacation package and then come on back to planDisney with any other questions you might have! We love to talk about the My Disney Experience account, dining, attractions and more!

Zowie, I hope this helps jumpstart your planning process and I wish you a Magical trip,

    Lauren

Greetings from central Pennsylvania! Hi, I’m Lauren and I can’t wait to answer all of your Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Vacation Club questions. My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
