Hi Danna,
Welcome to planDisney!
Let me offer a new award possibility - Best Disney Planner of the Year award! And, you have just secured your nomination. I am so excited to see you planning this far in advance. Doing so is a good idea because it will give you a chance to take a look at prices and determine how much money you will need to book the
vacation package you want. In fact, when our girls were little, we would start planning at least one year in advance and they would save their coins in a jar that they would decorate for each Disney trip.
I suggest a few ways to start planning. First, decide on a few possible times of year you would like to visit. Select a few
Disney Resorts Collection hotels that might work for your son and you. Then, check the standard vacation package pricing and check the
Special Offers for this year. Doing so will give you an idea of the possible range of pricing although pricing for 2026 would potentially differ. Having some idea of the range helps us budget. Also, remember that on a dining plan, the number of meals is calculated
per night of stay.
Once you see the range in pricing, you can make a more definitive choice of resort hotel. Decide how many days of
theme park tickets you would need and decide if you want to do standard 1 Park Per Day tickets or tickets with the
Park Hopper® Option. And, finally, consider adding one of the
Disney Dining Plans to your vacation package. My family prefers the
Disney Dining Plan because we love to do a few Table-Service Meals during our visit.
Danna, just continue to check the pricing so that you have an idea of what it might cost understanding that pricing could certainly change by 2026. We just visited in June and came back with a renewed appreciation for the complexity of visiting Disney. No matter what, we absolutely adore the planning process.
Magic and memories.
