Hello Gail! October is one of my favorite times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! Not only do I love the weather during that time of year, but I really enjoy the fall decor in the Disney Parks! The Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern wreaths along Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park are my favorite!
Since reopening, the Walt Disney World Resort has
continuously updated health and safety protocols based upon guidance from local, state, and national health partners. The most recent guidance requires that all Guests, regardless of vaccination status, wear face coverings on all Walt Disney World Resort transportation. Other face-covering requirements are based upon vaccination status. Fully vaccinated Guests need only wear face coverings on transportation. All other locations are optional. Guests who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear masks in additional locations. The most recent guidance was released earlier this month.
I recommend visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort website for the most up-to-date requirements regarding face coverings. It is possible that additional changes could be made prior to your October visit! Best wishes for a great visit in October! You're going to be visiting at such a magical time! I know you'll enjoy all of the festivities that are being planned to honor the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Walt Disney World Resort!
The World's Most Magical Celebration kicks off on October 1, 2021!
