When booking your vacation package, you won’t quite be able to purchase your Lightning Lanes and MagicBands yet! Those will come a bit later in the planning process.
First, you’ll want to book your
resort room and
theme park tickets. You can do so by inputting your dates and travel party right there on the
homepage of Disney World’s website and following the prompts.
Once those are booked, you can create a
My Disney Experience account and link your reservations to your account. Once your resort is linked, you can purchase
MagicBands. When purchasing them through your linked reservation, you will be able to customize them by adding your name, and the bands will be linked to your account and shipped directly to your house.
To place your order, hover over My Plans on the homepage of Disney World’s website, then click MagicBands. As long as your resort reservation is linked, you’ll see the option to purchase on that page by clicking Get Started.
Now, let’s fast-forward to closer to your trip! Since you’ll be a
Disney World resort guest, you’ll be able to purchase and book your Lightning Lanes beginning at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your resort check-in date. There are 3 different types of Lightning Lane services, which are all described on the
Lightning Lane webpage on Disney World’s website.
