How do I plan a vacation under a budget

It seems we have something in common already, Bailee; we both appreciate saving some money when we can. Go Team Frugal!

When it comes to planning a budget-friendly trip, my first tip is to check out the special offers currently available. Guests can easily save hundreds of dollars by taking advantage of one of Disney's published promotions.

Next, I'd recommend that you choose a value resort from the Disney Resorts Collection. Disney's Art of Animation is a great choice. I love the creative and colorful sights all around the property. There's more to my recommendation than meets the eye, though; Guests of this resort also enjoy convenient transportation on the Disney Skyliner. Talk about arriving in style!

Another way you can save money while still enjoying some of Disney's best and brightest offerings is by choosing to have your largest meal in the middle of the day. Often times (but not always), menu items are slightly less pricey during lunch service than they are at dinner. This is true of the famous skillet at Whispering Canyon Cafe, for example. Another way to save money on dining at Disney is to opt for counter service locations when it's time to satisfy your hunger. Flame Tree Barbecue and La Cantina de San Angel are two of my personal favorites.

I would also encourage you to flex your bulging budgeting muscles by being selective about your souvenirs. If you opt for items that you'd otherwise buy or use, your purchase is completely practical. For my family, this means that we leave Disney with mementos like pajamas, books and ornaments for our Christmas tree.

I hope I've inspired you with some helpful hints for saving, Bailee. Let us know if we can help further!
