    How to plan my vacation

Hi Dustin and welcome to planDisney!

I'll let you in on a little secret. My first time planning a Walt Disney World vacation by myself was only 4 years ago. Sure, I had been going for years but this time was all on me. I did it all by myself but you have me to help so let's go for it! This is the way I've learned to plan.

Head to the Walt Disney World website. There's a bar marked Build Your Vacation where you can enter your travel dates, number of travelers, and hotel choice. Pro-tip: You can leave it set to All Resorts and compare hotel rates across the available options. Once the rates pop up, you can choose one and pick your room type, followed by your Theme Park Tickets. Once you've selected your number of park days, and type of Ticket, all that's left is to check out. And just like that, you're on your way to the Walt Disney World Resort! Beware, this is addictive. I may or may not find myself planning imaginary trips in my free time.

Be sure to explore the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. They cover a wide range of budgets and storylines. Yes, I said storylines. Each hotel offers immersive theming that transports you to another time or place. Disney's Pop Century Resort pays homage to decades past. Disney's Port Orleans Resort -  French Quarter is a Mardi Gras good time. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa immerses you in rich Victorian splendor. And those are just a few. Take a few virtual tours of the resorts online and see which ones best fit your travel party's needs. The possibilities are endless!

Dustin thanks for making planDisney your first stop on this magical journey.

    Happy planning!
