Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristine!
I think it's really smart of you to take this time now to iron out some of the finer details of the
Disney Dining Plan before you take your vacation later this summer. I love the Dining Plan, and over my years of using it I've learned some great tips, tricks, and hacks, and it sounds like you've heard a few of them too! Usually, when you redeem a Table-Service credit, your meal includes entrée, a dessert, and a beverage, which can be an alcoholic beverage for guests over the age of 21. When you redeem your credit at a restaurant where a drink is included in the price of the meal, like a prix fixe experience at
Cinderella's Royal Table or a buffet like
Boma - Flavors of Africa, you are able to order two beverages. If you're over the age of 21, this means that you can enjoy both an alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage, and any kiddos traveling with you can choose two drinks as well.
Le Cellier Steakhouse, one of my favorite signature dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort, has a traditional à la carte menu where beverages are ordered separately, so only one drink will be included with your meal here when you redeem your Dining Plan credits. My advice is to skip the second drink anyway and go for the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, but of course, you can always order another beverage if you want to and pay out of pocket when the bill comes.
I hope this answers your question, Kristine, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
