Hello, Rachel!
Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for sending along your
Disneyland Resort question about
Magic Key passes. It sounds like your family is ready to embark on a year filled with magical moments!
As you probably already know, Magic Keys give Guests access to reservation-based admission to one or both of the Disneyland Resort theme parks all year long for one price, and pass holders can also receive exclusive experiences and
discounts. The Magic Key program is very popular, and as you mentioned, sales of new Magic Keys are currently paused. When sales do resume, you should be able to purchase a maximum of 10 passes (pending availability) during your transaction no matter which state you live in. The only difference is that Californians have the ability to utilize a monthly payment plan while Guests from out of state must pay for their Magic Keys in full up front.
Each Magic Key you buy must be assigned to a specific person at the time of purchase. You’ll need to provide their first and last name, date of birth, home address, and a phone number and email for Guests who are 18 years of age and older. Keep in mind that children ages 2 and under do not need a
theme park ticket or Magic Key to enter the theme parks with your family, so you do not need to purchase your 1-year-old a pass at this time!
We’re not sure when Magic Key passes will be available again, but if you keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and follow the Disneyland Resort’s social media accounts, you’re sure to be one of the first to know when and if an announcement is made about Magic Key sales resuming.
I hope this answers your question, Rachel, and that your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is pixie-dusted to perfection! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you’ll be able to call yourselves a Magic Key family soon!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
