We want to plan a trip this year to take our son (just turned 2). Any advice on best time of year to go that's not too busy? Any advice or tips for a 2 year old? Thanks!!

Hi Stacy!  I'm sure you are so excited to be planning your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!  I traveled with my own 3 children when they were toddlers,  so I understand your desire for a trip with lower crowds.  Since you don't have to worry about taking your son out of school, I personally would recommend early May or after the Labor Day holiday.  The weather can be a little unpredictable in September but you will find that crowds should be very light.  May is typically a beautiful time to go and crowds are lighter if you travel  before Memorial Day weekend.   The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will run March 6 - May 19 for 2013.  Among other things, your son would probably enjoy the interactive play areas at the Festival, along with the enchanting decorative character themed topiaries.

The Walt Disney World Resort is also the perfect place to travel with a toddler.   I found that my kids were so entertained at Disney World,  that they slept very well in the stroller and at night.   You may find yourself having some unexpected moments to enjoy!  You know your child best.  Providing him with breaks and places to let off some steam will prove to be invaluable.  Visit  http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/planning-guides/in-depth-advice/traveling-with-little-ones/  for some really helpful tips for traveling with little ones.  You will find valuable information on a variety of topics that will make your trip with your son the best vacation possible.  One of the best perks is that children under 3 years of age are allowed free entry into Disney Theme Parks and Water Parks!

I wish you a truly magical vacation!
