plan a trip for me , my two kids 3 and 1 when we come and my mom. I am a member with the holiday inn vacations club and will be staying there. How should I plan my Disney trip . We would like rides and character dining ,meet and greets and shows plus food

Welcome to planDisney, Miranda. I'm happy you reached out to us!

While I cannot plan your trip, I can certainly give you some helpful suggestions and tips for making the planning process as smooth as possible. Luckily, the My Disney Experience mobile app and My Disney Experience on the website make planning pretty easy. So let's get started!

    • Check to see if your hotel offers shuttle service to the theme parks and find out the details. If it's a Good Neighbor Hotel, you may be able to take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, which allows you to enter the parks 30 minutes before other Guests.
    • I usually recommend one table-service meal daily, where you are served by a Cast Member. You can book these reservations 60 days ahead of the day you'd like to dine at 6 a.m. EST. On the dining page, use the filters to select the types of restaurants you are looking for, cuisine, and area of the resort. You can even check out the menus too!
    • For other meals, I suggest quick-service locations, which don't require reservations. Again, explore the dining page to see which ones best meet your needs. You'll also want to check to see which ones offer Mobile Food Ordering so you can place your order ahead of time and pick it up during your return window.
    • For experiences, explore the Attractions & Entertainment page and use the filters to find the ones that best suit your family's interests. If you want to purchase and reserve Lightning Lanes ahead of your visit (for a shorter wait time), you can book those 3 days ahead of the start of your ticket at 7 a.m. EST.
    • In general, I recommend allotting 1 day for each theme park to start. If you have more time, book a second day at the park(s) that has the most experiences that speak to your family.
    • If possible, plan for a rest day in the middle of your vacation to relax at your hotel, enjoy the pool, or make it more leisurely with a quick visit to Disney Springs or miniature golf. I also recommend a break in the middle of the day to relax at your hotel before heading back to the parks for the evening. This is especially critical if your children (or you) need a nap!
    • Check out the many resources available through planDisney to help you plan for your little ones. We have a general guide for planning a trip with little ones, a whole podcast episode that explores this topic, as well as guides for attractions, dining, and the baby care centers!
Miranda, you've got this! Please reach out again if you have any other questions!

In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun,
