Hello, Heather. Welcome to planDisney!
Planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is exciting, but things can add up quickly! As my family’s accountant and budgeter, I completely understand wanting to spread the cost of my vacation over a couple of payments rather than one lump sum. Having a vacation paid for in advance also allows me to fully enjoy my vacation without the fear of a large credit card bill immediately upon my return. I suggest checking out the
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page before making any reservations to see if you can take advantage of these cost-saving deals!
Once you are ready to make a reservation, if you are booking a Walt Disney World vacation package (Disney Resorts Collection hotel and Theme Park Tickets), you will make the initial deposit payment at the time of purchase and be required to make the final payment 30 days before your first night’s stay. While there is no official monthly payment plan, you can make payments that fit your timing and budget by logging into your My Disney Experience account, selecting My Plans, finding your reservation, and selecting Make a Payment. As long as that final balance is paid 30 days before your first night’s stay, you’re good to go! One important thing to note is that there is no payment plan option if you are only purchasing a resort hotel room or only purchasing theme park tickets, as the payment for individual purchases is due in full at the time of purchase.
Heather, before you make your final decision on your vacation package, be sure to look into the
Disney Dining Plans. These plans can be another source to save money on your upcoming vacation. If you decide to include this in your vacation package, the cost would be lumped into your reservation, allowing you to pay for your food and drinks ahead of time as well!
I hope this answer helps you with your planning, Heather. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney or
ask me another question directly.
Cheers,
Brent
