I want to plan a trip for March 2023. I have a party member that will be having knee surgery in January. What happens/ is it possible to postpone the trip and move it to another date?

Hey there, hi there, Ashlee! Welcome to planDisney. Planning a visit to Disneyland Resort can be a lot of fun and also hard to figure out when you need to plan in advance.

I am here to tell you that you definitely can start planning a 2023 visit and there are different options that will give you some flexibility should something need to be rescheduled. If you were just planning on purchasing tickets, they are non-refundable. However, should your plans change, you can easily cancel your theme park ticket reservations and book them for a new date when you have one. Tickets purchased this year will be valid until December 30, 2023, for single-day tickets and multi-day tickets are valid until January 12, 2024.

You also have the option of a Disneyland Resort Hotel Package. This would bundle both a Disneyland Resort Hotel with your theme park tickets. Should your party member's surgery and recovery mean that you would need to reschedule your trip, you would have up until 30 days before your arrival to cancel your package for a full refund if you booked directly through the Disneyland website or by phone. I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel any chance I can get!

Ashlee, I hope this gives you some peace of mind for your trip and that you can move forward with your plans! Please come back and visit us with any other questions you might have.
