Season’s greetings, Linda! The most wonderful time of the year is a great time to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Visiting Magic Kingdom Park at Christmastime is a great idea! The park is decorated beautifully for the holiday season! I recommend purchasing a ticket for
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party rather than purchasing a day ticket for Magic Kingdom Park. In years past, Guests with Christmas party tickets are allowed to enter Magic Kingdom Park at 4:00 PM even though the party doesn’t begin until 7:00 PM. The party usually ends at midnight. If you take advantage of the early entry, and remain for the entire party, that will give you eight hours at the park! That will be plenty of time to enjoy the holiday festivities and the attractions at Magic Kingdom Park!
Linda, details for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be announced soon! Keep checking the Walt Disney World Resort website and the
Disney Parks Blog!
If your holiday wish is to visit Magic Kingdom Park (and enjoy a resort with the least amount of walking), then I recommend the resorts located along the
Monorail loop. Those resorts are Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! All three resorts allow convenient transportation to Magic Kingdom Park! For the least amount of walking, I recommend staying in the main building, rather than an outer building, of each resort.
Linda, come on back to planDisney if you have any more planning questions! We’re happy to help!
Happy Planning!
