How do I plan a trip for 15 family members?

Ahoy, Tami! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for sailing our way. My panelist pals and I are always happy to help.

A Disney Cruise is such a great option for a large family vacation! There are activities for guests of every age and you'll have a lot of flexibility in deciding what to do together as a group. You have a few options when it comes to booking your reservation. One family member can book up to four staterooms at a time, and these reservations will automatically be linked together for planning purposes. If you'd prefer that each family book their staterooms on their own, you can coordinate your family plans by connecting your reservations. This will signal to Disney Cruise Line that your party would like to dine together, and you'll be able to book activities as a group.

In my experience, I find it helpful to use a travel agent to handle the booking details when I'm sailing with a large party. You might reach out to friends and family via social media to ask for a reference if you don't have a travel agent already in mind. You can also call Disney Cruise Line directly and ask for assistance in booking your travel party. They will be happy to help!

Once you have your reservations, it's time to start thinking about Port Adventures, adult-exclusive dining, and other onboard fun. One of the nice things about a Disney Cruise is that there isn't much advance planning that needs to take place. You can show up and go with the flow! If you'd like to make any additional reservations, your advance booking window will open 75 days before your sail date if you are a first-time guest of Disney Cruise Line. You can log on to your Disney Cruise Line account on the website or sign in on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to add plans once you have paid your cruise fare in full and your booking window has opened.

Once you are onboard the ship, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app has a handy feature for large parties... an in-app chat! This is a great way to keep your group informed about who is going where so you can find each amidst all of the fun. You can gather the gang for a mid-day ice cream break or photo opportunity with Disney Characters with ease.

Tami, if you have more questions, please set sail back to planDisney. We'd love to help make your Disney Cruise as magical as possible!

    Happy Planning,

    Adrianna
