Hello! I would like to plan a trip to Disneyland within the next year, and the number one priority is to be able to see the Paint the Night parade. It is my hubby’s favorite parade from when it first premiered. What dates will it be running through?

    Hi Jake,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! I completely understand why you and your hubby want to prioritize seeing Paint the Night during your next visit. I remember the first time I saw Paint the Night with my sister. We were totally blown away by the lights.

When the 70th Anniversary was first announced, it was scheduled to begin on May 16, 2025, and run through the summer of 2026. Disney recently announced that while World of Color Happiness! and Tapestry of Happiness will continue through the Holiday season, there will be a pause in the Paint the Night parade to make way for A Christmas Fantasy Parade. The holiday season ends on January 7th, so Paint the Night is likely to return sometime after that. I recommend checking the park hours and events calendar for the official return date in 2026.

As of now, we don't have a confirmed end date for the 70th Anniversary celebration. The summer season typically wraps up with the start of Halloween Time, which, using 2025 as an example, would most likely be in late August.

If you're looking for a great viewing location, I highly recommend the area by it’s a small world. From there, you can also catch Tapestry of Happiness and Wondrous Journeys. It’s the trifecta of viewing spots!

I hope this information was helpful, Jake! If you have more questions or would like tips for your upcoming adventure, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We're always here to add a little extra pumpkin spice magic to your Halloween Time planning.

    Happy Planning!
