Bonjour!
Hey, Shirleen! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question today. If there is one activity that is perfect every single day, it has to be planning a trip to
Disneyland Paris. And what a European adventure you have ahead of you, travelling over to this side of the world!
With every Disney vacation, there is so much to think about, because there really is so much magic waiting to be discovered. The Disneyland Paris website will be your best friend while you plan. I always recommend looking at a
Hotel + Ticket Package when booking directly through Disneyland Paris, as these come with several flexible benefits. These include free cancellation and modification up to seven days before arrival, a price match guarantee, and the option to pay in up to six instalments.
Before booking, one of the biggest decisions is
where to stay, and there is plenty of choice. There are seven Disney Hotels at Disneyland Paris, six of which are within walking distance of Disney Village and the Disney Parks. The closest is the
Disneyland Hotel, a royal five-star residence located right at the entrance to Disneyland Park. Guests staying in a Disney Hotel enjoy exclusive perks, including character meets in the hotel and access to Extra Magic Time, which allows entry to the Disney Parks up to an hour before official opening time.
Next, it is worth thinking about how long you would like to stay, and this will be different for everyone. Personally, my family usually visits for four nights and five days. We never manage to do everything in one trip, as there is so much to enjoy across the resort. This is only set to increase from 29th March, when,
for the first time in forever, they are opening the gates to the
World of Frozen.
Disney Adventure World will have more to explore than ever before, including a brand new nighttime spectacular, Disney Cascade of Lights, which will light up the waters of Adventure Bay.
There are also loads of brilliant dining options across the resort. When booking a Hotel + Ticket Package, you can choose to add a Meal Plan. My family always does this, as we like paying for our meals in advance and using prepaid vouchers while we are there, with no extra costs to think about. Unlike in the US, tipping is not expected here, so you will not need to budget for that on top of your meals. Some of our favourite restaurants include
Downtown Restaurant at Disney Hotel New York - the Art of Marvel, and Bistrot Chez Rémy at Disney Adventure World. Special mentions also go to Café Agrabah in Adventureland and
Chuck Wagon Café at Disney Hotel Cheyenne.
Phew! That was a lot of information to take in, Shirleen, but I hope it gives you a great starting point for planning your first visit to Disneyland Paris. If you have any other vacation planning questions, I am always here to help. Just
reach out to me!
See you on Main Street, Paris!
Matt
