We want to plan a trip to Disneyland in January 2024 but are not able to book park reservations. When will the calendar dates open for booking. Also will the 100th anniversary still be going on in January 2024?

Hey there, Alma, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad to hear you're planning a trip in early 2024 to the Happiest Place on Earth!

You have asked the number 1 question these days - all of us here at planDisney are also anxiously awaiting when next year's bookings will open up so we can start confirming our 2024 trips. However, we haven't heard any official word on when that will be quite yet.

When looking at previous years, I can say that we are still well within the normal time frame of when bookings open up for the following year. From what I've seen in the past, bookings for the next year typically open up towards the end of summertime, so I would expect to hear something in the next few weeks!

In the meantime, I've been doing two things in particular when checking to see if 2024 bookings have opened up yet. First, I check the Disneyland website to see if the 2024 dates have been added. When you're on the home page, you'll see the "Build Your Vacation" section at the top of the page. If you click the calendar icon, you can scroll to the right to see if those dates have been added. Second, I'm keeping a close watch on the Disney Parks Blog! This is the best place to get the most updated information on everything happening around the Disneyland Resort, so it's a great place to check and see if any 2024 news arrives.

Finally, while you may not be able to actually book your vacation at the moment, you can certainly think through all the logistics now. Start deciding on how you'll get to the resort, where you want to stay, and how long you want to visit. That way, when those dates open up, you'll be ready to book! In my experience, if you book your trip around the time next year's dates open up, you likely won't have much trouble securing the dates of your visit - especially if you're not visiting during the busier times of the year.

I hope that was helpful, Alma! Thanks again for your question and have a fantastic visit to the Disneyland Resort.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
