Hi Yolanda,
Welcome to planDisney!
Good advance planning! First things first, you need to select a resort hotel. Since it sounds like you want to stay at a resort with access to the
Walt Disney World® Monorail, I would suggest The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort, and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
With the size of your party, you will have a few different options. At The
Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you could try a 3-Bedroom Grand Villa or you could try two studio villas. At
Disney's Contemporary Resort, you could do two standard rooms, and at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you could also do two standard rooms. When searching rooms, make note of the types of beds and other amenities in each room.
If you need more budget-friendly options, you could try two family suites at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort or you could do separate rooms at
Disney's Pop Century or
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resorts, both of which have access to the
Disney Skyliner. My family loves each of the resorts for different reasons. We adore the resort hotels with access to the resort monorail because each of these resorts has multiple dining options, spacious rooms, and great pool areas. I also appreciate Disney's Pop Century Resort because we can typically save some money on the room and the Disney Skyliner makes transportation manageable.
I suggest that you start by searching vacation packages online - click on the link that says
Book your Walt Disney World Vacation Today! When you enter your dates and the size of your travel party, you will be able to see available
Special Offers and prices at different resorts. When choosing a vacation package, you also will need to select the number of days to have
theme park tickets. As you decide, I also recommend having at least one day reserved as a resort day so that your crew can take a break and relax at the resort.
Yolanda, I hope this helps you get started! Know that you can always
contact one of our Cast Members by phone if you need help making a reservation! It also occurred to me that you may have wanted info on resort hotels near the Amtrak train station. The
Disney Resorts Collection hotels are about a 30-40 minute drive from that train station. We actually took the train once and it was lovely. We caught a taxi from the train station to our resort hotel.
Magic and memories,
Donyell
