I want to plan a trip for my daughter 5 birthday for September 2027. Her birthday is on September 25 and it would be me her my son(3) and my youngest daughter (1). We never been to Disney world and also thinking about maybe a cruise which we never been.

    Hi, Biance!

How exciting to celebrate a birthday in Walt Disney World! Surrounding the birthday girl with pixie dust, Main Street, U.S.A., and evening fireworks sounds like the perfect way to turn 5 years old! Adding on a Disney Cruise will make it even more magical.

Once cruise dates are announced for September 2027 (hang tight, Captain Mickey should be releasing all the sailings real soon!) you will be able to browse your options. For a first cruise, I would suggest a 3- or 4-night sailing. When you find a sailing that works, you can pop over to DisneyWorld.com to find travel dates before or after your cruise. I find that scheduling Walt Disney World prior to sailing is a better option so you can relax on the ship after a few busy days in the theme parks. However, plan what works best for your family.

When booking your cruise, I suggest calling a friendly Disney Cruise Line Cast Member. When booking, you will be able to reserve convenient motorcoach transportation from your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel directly to the cruise port (unless you have your own car in which case it is just about an hour drive to the cruise terminal).

For the Walt Disney World portion of your vacation, you may book online or call to reserve your stay. You will need to call/book each portion of your trip separately, but both will be super easy to book.

I am keeping this answer pretty general for now until more cruise dates and rates are posted so you can select dates, see pricing, and your browse travel options. Walt Disney World rates are available but keep watching as you get closer for any special offers. You really have plenty of time to look around the websites, do some research, and get a feel for what your family might enjoy. Then, when it comes time to book you will feel comfortable with your choices.

As you begin this process, please know that you have the planDisney team here to help with making selections, and we are never shy about giving our opinions if you are deciding between hotels, stateroom options, or dining locations! Stop back so we can guide you to the perfect celebration vacation for you and your Mouseketeers!
