I want to plan a trip for 7 4 adults 3 kids age 14. 8 and 6 for February 2025. How can I start this

Hello, Terry! It's my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney. You've come to the right place and as a guest who also plans vacations years in advance, I'm happy to chat with you.

Now, while 2025 packages aren't yet available to book, there are a few ways in which you can get started. First, I'll encourage you to start browsing through the list of Disney Resort Hotels. If it fits into your budget, I always recommend staying onsite to take advantage of the perks like complimentary transportation to the parks from your resort. You'll find options in the value, moderate, deluxe, and deluxe villa categories. (Keep in mind that with a total of 7 guests, most resorts other than the deluxe villa and suite options would require you to book two rooms.) If you need more specific recommendations about resorts based on personality, interest, or budget, please come back as I would be happy to share my favorites!

Second, if you'd like to get a jump on paying for your vacation before the booking window for 2025 opens, I would encourage you to purchase Disney Gift Cards when you can. These can be used to pay for vacation packages, tickets, and when you're onsite, dining, and merchandise. Disney Gift Cards can be combined up to $1,000 per card.

Terry, if it's your family's first Disney vacation, I would encourage you to plan to spend one day at all four theme parks if possible. I also like to build in a rest day in between when you can relax, enjoy activities around your Disney Resort Hotel, or visit Disney Springs. Park days are often tiring and a rest day helps to reinvigorate my kids. If you are staying onsite at a Disney Resort Hotel, tickets can be bundled with your hotel stay to create a package. Otherwise, you can purchase tickets separately. Historically, the following year's bookings open up in late spring, so make sure you've bookmarked the Disney Parks Blog as announcements show up there first.

Finally, as you continue planning and once your trip is booked, I hope you'll come on back to planDisney to chat about advanced dining reservations, Disney Genie+, and more!

    Wishing you a Magical visit,
    Lauren
