We plan to travel to WDW in Aug 2014. We can't decide between WL and BC. Any thoughts? My husband and I will be traveling with our 2 kids (by then, they'll be 5 yrs and 18 months). Anything we should consider to make our choice a bit easier?

Hi Jennifer! You are considering two wonderful Disney World resorts for your upcoming vacation. I have stayed in both many times and they offer their guests a great stay.

Since you mentioned you will be coming in the summer I am going to guide you to the Beach Club resort. This property shares probably the best pool facility with the Yacht Club and would be a great addition to your park visits. There is a large sandy bottom area where the children can play in the water and use pails and shovels to dig in the sand. I also like the location of the Beach Club as you can easily get to two resorts without using a bus. Epcot is a five minute walk away and Hollywood Studios is a 15 minute boat ride or 20 minute walk. It is best to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom as it will drop you off directly at the entrance so that park is easy as well. Animal Kingdom is a bus and very easy.

Wilderness Lodge is closer to the Magic Kingdom but with it not being on the monorail it isn't much more convenient then the Beach Club...just a shorter ride! Both resorts are located on water so if you choose to rent any sort of watercraft that is easy at both.
