Hi I plan on taking my 5 year old to Ariel's Grotto for the first time and I want her to get the most out of the experience by being able to see the princesses be announced as they walk in the dining room. Is there a best time at lunch to see this?

Greetings, Marissa! How exciting that you are taking your child to the Disneyland Resort for the first time! A meal at Ariel's Grotto is an excellent choice for any princess fan.

Lunch is typically served at Ariel's Grotto between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. While there are different seating times (and the princesses are announced at different times throughout the day), I suggest getting a reservation for lunch as early as possible to ensure you don't miss anything. This will allow you to check in, meet Ariel upon entering the restaurant, and get settled at your table before the other princesses are officially announced. Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance online or by calling (714) 781-3463.

To complete the experience, I recommend purchasing a PhotoPass+ package which will include the images taken with Ariel as you enter. And if you happen to meet other princesses at Royal Hall in Fantasy Faire, those images can be added to your PhotoPass account as well.

I hope you and your child enjoy your royal feast at Ariel's Grotto!
