Hi Wayne,
It's nice to hear from someone else that lives so close by to myself who also takes that long trek to Walt Disney World for a vacation (makes me feel like I am not all that crazy after all!). I am not sure what your budget is so I will give you a link to some
WDW Resorts that offer accommodations for larger parties in the "Value, Moderate and Deluxe categories (whether you want separate accommodations or just keep most of your extended family together).
If you will be going to the Parks each day of your vacation, I would definitely suggest going to Magic Kingdom at least once if possible. This is the ultimate Park to visit (in my opinion) and there will be so many attractions for everyone to enjoy from the youngest to the oldest. One more suggestion would be to split up for a few hours at a time, here and there so the youngest can experience the attractions they prefer without the older ones getting bored and then meet up after everyone has enjoyed what they really wanted to see and do. During the rest of the time, schedule things that everyone will enjoy together such as Fireworks, Shows, Breakfast, Lunch and/or Dinners, etc...
Please make sure that you make advanced dining reservations if there are any restaurants that you have your heart set on going to as these do fill up very quickly and with such a large group it would be almost impossible to fit you in as a walk-in guest if they are busy. Animal Kingdom is another wonderful Park to visit and the Kilimanjaro Safari, The Festival of the Lion King-live musical show and Finding Nemo-the musical are all some of my favorite things in this Park. I hope you have a magical trip and remember to take your time and really savor the moment as you don't have much time there and there's always your next trip to see the things you missed this time!
Best wishes,
Brigitta
