I plan on taking my son in February who will be 10 months when we go, am I crazy or is there going to be much for him to do? Can you give me some tips on what to do to keep him happy?

Hi Felicity!  We often get asked if taking a small child to Disney World is worth the effort.  I not only took my own children when they were under a year old but have now had the opportunity to take my grandchildren.  Of course they are too young to build memories of their own from the experiences but they will be captured in pictures and you will have those memories to share with them for the rest of all of your lives.  I know when people ask me what is the best memory it is impossible to say one over the other.

I wouldn't trade the memory of my daughter finally learning to laugh and smile while watching the Tiki Birds for the first time.....or my grandson hopping along with Tigger when he saw him at a character meet and greet.  We leave tomorrow for another trip and I know we will be building on more memories to add to those special ones we already have.

When you travel with small children you will learn to pick and choose those attractions that they can handle.  You don't want loud noises or bright lights to scare them so you might have to do some research about the rides before you go.  Every child is different as to what they can tolerate so in the end it is up to you to make those decisions.  Just walking around and getting the stimulus from the activities is wonderful enough for many families!

Keep things low key and don't feel like you have to do it all.  Let your child determine when they have had enough and head back to the resort.  Don't worry about the little things......take each day as a new experience and enjoy!
