Hi we plan on taking our granddaughters in May 2013 That is both of thiers Birthday month the oldest will be 8 and the other one will be 4. Where would be a good places to stay we plan on staying at least 5 day and love water parks

    Hi Lisa!

That sounds like a great trip.  All of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels are great places to stay, but it is fair to say that Deluxe Resorts have nicer rooms, a better location, and more services and amenities than a Moderate Resort.  Likewise, Moderate Resorts have more services and amenities than a Value Resort.  Where you stay depends on what you are looking for and your budget.

If your budget allows, stay in a Disney Deluxe Resort.  My favorite is the Wilderness Lodge, but with young children going with you, you might consider staying in a Magic Kingdom monorail resort.  My favorite is the Polynesian followed closely by the Contemporary.  All of the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts provide direct access to the Magic Kingdom via the monorail and to Epcot, via a monorail transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

My favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  I love its theming and its relatively large water pool.  I also like its boat service to Downtown Disney; it's fun and relaxing, especially at night.  My favorite Disney Value Resort is currently Pop Century, but it might get replaced later this year with the new Disney's Art of Animation Resort; the concept art for this new resort looks amazing.

I hope this gets you started in your planning.  Write back if you have have any more questions!
