    I plan on taking my first trip to Disney World with my kids (10 & 7) in January of '09~4 nights in the park and 3 nights on the Disney Wonder Cruise. Have any of you gone at this time of year? Gone on the cruise? What parks should we not miss?

    We love January’s low crowds. There are a few disadvantages such as the weather being unpredictable (chilly or hot). There are attractions and sometimes pools closed for refurbishment. But the low attendance levels in the theme parks is a great benefit.

    The Disney Wonder cruise far exceeded my expectations. Our family had a magical sailing.

    You should not miss the Magic Kingdom. For the other parks, consider what types of shows and attractions your family is most interested in. I hope your first trip is truly memorable!
