Hi Bill!
I just love your plan to visit
Disney's Wilderness Lodge during your upcoming vacation. There's no more magical resort in the entire world, in my opinion. It is my favorite place to stay at Walt Disney World Resort.
Fire Rock Geyser does erupt on the hour and all of the lovely restaurants at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are within an easy five minute walk of the geyser. So, after the geyser erupts at 1 p.m., you'll have plenty of time to walk to
Whispering Canyon Cafe for a 1:15 p.m. reservation. Don't forget to ask for some ketchup while you dine there. Trust me on this one.
If you'd like to dine even closer to Fire Rock Geyser, you could enjoy a quick service meal at
Geyser Point Bar & Grill. It's my new favorite place to dine at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. They offer a relaxing view of Bay Lake and have some cool drinks on their secret menu. I highly recommend the Blue Wilderness.
If you're looking to expand your visit to Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you might want to show up for the complimentary Wonders of the Lodge Tour. No prior registration is required for this activity. A ranger at the lodge will treat guests who show up in the lobby for this event to a fascinating tour of the resort's art, history and architecture. Currently, tours are offered daily from Wednesday through Saturday at 9 a.m.. However, it's always a good idea to call the Lodge's front desk at (407) 824-3200 to confirm the tour time at least one day before you plan to take it.
Wishing you a magnificent afternoon at Disney's Wilderness Lodge,
Jill
