We plan in staying at one of the value resorts, is it really worth the extra money for a perffered room?

    Hi Michelle!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

There is no easy answer for whether a preferred room is worth the extra cost.  It really depends on the guest.  Basically, at the Value Resorts, a preferred room is simply a room that is closer to the front lobby, food court, main pool, etc.  If you don't mind walking a little farther after being in the parks all day then it doesn't matter.  Some guests enjoy having a little less of a walk after a long day.  Also, guests who get a refillable mug as part of a Disney Dining Plan or who purchase one typically enjoy being closer to the food court so that they can more easily use the mugs (without a long walk to and from their room).

I hope this helps!  Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and write back if you have any more questions!
