Plan to stay at Pop with DH, 2DS (5&2). Want to stay in a standard room & use the money we save for a character meal. Is there a bldg. you would request to still be relatively close to Classic Hall & bus stops? Will have car should we drive or

    Hi Tara!

Pop Century is my favorite Disney Value Resort.  I think you made a great choice, especially if you don't plan on spending much time at your resort hotel anyways.  The services and amenities of a Disney Deluxe Resort are not that useful if you only visit the resort to sleep!

I recommend getting a preferred room at Pop Century.  The "preferred" refers to its location.  Preferred rooms are closest to Classic Hall, the main pool, and the bus stops.

With regards to driving your own car, the fastest way to get anywhere at Walt Disney World is with your own car, except for the Magic Kingdom.  The Magic Kingdom requires you to park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, walk or take a tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then take a monorail or ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom.  Disney Transportation on the other hand will drop you off a few minutes walk away from the turnstiles to the Magic Kingdom.  However, some guests don't want to drive when they're on vacation.  Pop Century is a great choice for those guests because the buses that go to and from the resort hotel don't stop at any other hotels.

Have a magical vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
