Hello Maureen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It is a pleasure to answer your first question.
I cannot think of anything more magical than planning a first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate your daughter’s birthday. We also celebrated my girl’s 5th birthday at The Most Magical Place on Earth, and that week was all about the Disney Princesses.
We started our day with a royal makeover at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where a Fairy Godmother-in-Training magically transformed our birthday girl into Princess Anna, her favorite Disney character at the time. The boutique is inside Cinderella Castle at
Magic Kingdom Park, the same location as our dining destination for the day,
Cinderella’s Royal Table. We had a reservation for lunch at this amazing restaurant and were greeted by Cinderella herself upon arrival. While we were enjoying our lunch, other Disney Princesses came to greet us at our table. It was really magical because our girl was dressed up to the occasion and she had her autograph book with her to collect beautiful birthday messages from our royal friends. During the day it was magical to meet and greet other Disney Princesses and characters throughout the park.
Another great location to dine with Disney Princesses is
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, located in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. Belle is your host at this restaurant that also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We really enjoy having breakfast there, but I must say that lunch and dinner offer delicious Norwegian dishes. If you are looking for an enchanted experience outside the theme parks, I highly recommend making reservations for dinner at
1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You will be just a short walk or monorail ride away if you stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, one of my family’s favorite Disney Resort hotels. At 1900 Park Fare you can have dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming, but I must say that Lady Tremaine and her daughters Anatasia and Drizella steal the show! We had some of the best character interactions at this dining location.
Reservations are highly recommended for all of these restaurants and you can start booking up to 180 days in advance
online or using the
My Disney Experience mobile app which is, in my opinion, the most convenient way to make dining reservations.
Thank you so much for sending a question our way. Please stop by once again as you plan your daughter’s birthday celebration and first visit.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
