Plan to start our vacation at Animal Kingdom on Feb 18. I checked the calendar and it is to be extra hours that evening. Does that mean that park will be open until 10 PM I thought Animal Kingdom closed early due to the feeding of the animals

    Hi Penny!

As much as I love the idea of touring Animal Kingdom at night, I have never had the chance to do so.  However... YOU WILL!  On February 18, 2009, Animal Kingdom will have Extra Magic Hours from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  Of course, you must be a WDW Resort guest to take advantage of these additional hours.  Until today, I had no idea that Animal Kingdom was ever open that late!

Now, I'm sure that some animals will be catching their Z's, but tons of other ones should be exploring the night.  For a list of the attractions that will be open during these Extra Magic Hours, check out the official WDW website.  So grab some night vision binoculars and go on Safari!

    Much pixie dust,
