How do i plan a special vacation to take my kids and grandkids on a cruise?

    Hi, Manuel!

Taking a family vacation with Disney Cruise Line is truly special and a great way to travel. Once you are booked, you do not have to worry about a thing as you will have rooms assigned, a time for dinner, and plenty of entertainment for guests of all ages!

I would start by browsing through the Disney Cruise Line website. Choose travel dates by selecting the months that you would like to cruise, and which departure ports are of interest. You will then be able to see all the wonderful itineraries available to you. Within each cruise, you will be able to select exact staterooms so your entire travel party can have all their rooms close together and even connecting rooms when available.

To book your cruise, you have a few options. One option is to call Disney Cruise Line directly and they will assist in getting your cruise booked. You might also choose to book through an Authorized Disney Travel Agent. Ask around to friends and family if they have a travel agent they have used in the past or do a quick search online to find an agent that specializes in cruising and they can take care of all the details for you. A third option is to book this yourself as the whole process can be completed online if you feel comfortable doing so. Payment plans are flexible, and to hold the reservations, you just need to make a small deposit with the balance due 120 days prior to sailing.

To make the cruise extra special, you might want to purchase Onboard Gifts prior to sailing, and the items will be waiting in each stateroom. You can also schedule a complimentary pre-recorded phone call from a favorite Disney Pal that will welcome all of you to the cruise - what a fun way to announce the cruise to your whole gang! Port Adventures are available for each port of call so you can explore and have fun at each destination.

Manuel, once you are booked, feel free to stop back to planDisney and we can give you tips on how to make your family vacation even more memorable. Depending on your ship and destination, we can suggest activities, adventures, and more. Have fun planning your cruise and I look forward to seeing you onboard real soon!

My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
