Hi Tom and thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
My Younglings have been tested against the Dark Side many times!
Jedi Training Academy is one of their favorite experiences and a must do!
Your idea to arrive when
Disney's Hollywood Studios opens is very wise! The academy fills up quickly and registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. By arriving at theme park opening, you will have a better chance of not only securing a spot but also selecting a time that works best based on your day's plans. There are typically numerous shows to choose from.
Kiddos who are 4-12 can participate and you will register at the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost. Be sure you have your academy participant(s) with you when you register. They may be asked some very basic questions (such as name and age) to ensure they can follow simple directions.
You might go into your best "weather forecaster" mode as you plan your show time. Because the show is outside, it may be cancelled for safety reasons if inclement weather is present. It is rare that this occurs but something to keep in mind.
Jedi Training Academy continues to be a highlight of our vacations. While our daughter has moved onto other attractions such as
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, our son can't wait for his next opportunity to use the force on the Star Wars villains!
Have a great time Tom and, "may the force be with you!"
