Ahoy, Susan! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about planning your perfect family vacation to where magic meets the sea.
Disney Cruise Line typically releases their itineraries by season, so unfortunately there is no scheduling or pricing information available for any 2028 sailings just yet. At the moment, itineraries through Summer 2027 are available with sailing dates through September 2027 currently being available for booking. We expect the first 2028 itineraries to be announced toward the end of this summer, so you will have to wait a few more months for any new information. You can always find the most up-to-date information on the Disney Cruise Line website, but you can also
sign up to receive email updates directly. I highly recommend signing up for the email updates because you will get news, including the new itinerary announcements, sent right to your inbox.
If you are looking to set sail from California, then you will be searching for cruises departing from
San Diego. Although the 2028 options are not yet available, you can get an idea of the typical
Baja and Mexican Riviera itineraries that usually set sail from San Diego by looking at the current offerings. Start by clicking on the “Plan a Cruise” tab at the top of the
main website, then click on the white box labeled “Departing from” and choose “San Diego, California.” Since you are primarily interested in longer sailings, you can also click on the “More Filters” option to the right and narrow down the options further by choosing your preferences under “How many nights?” to “5 to 6” or “7” nights. Once you click on the blue “View Dates” button, you will get a list with all of the options that can currently be booked from that particular port to get an idea of stateroom pricing and information on the typical ports of call.
Once the 2028 information is released, you are always welcome back at planDisney, where my friends and I will be happy to answer any more specific questions that you may have about booking. In the meantime, I recommend reading about
what’s included on a Disney Cruise and
why Disney Cruise Line truly is where magic meets the sea. Happy future sailing!
