    I plan on running the Princess Half Marathon next February and staying at a Disney resort. I'm debating whether or not to rent a car. What is transportation like the morning of the race? Do the busses run frequently? Are the lines for them super crazy?

    Hi Audra!

    The Princess Half is a great race!  I think you will love it!

    The bus transportation is a huge benefit.  I prefer to get on one of the earliest buses before the race and have never had to wait for one.  They run them continuously to and from the resorts.  The only problem you will have is if you wait too late and there is a line formed.  I have never had that happen, but imagine that it possibly could.  Get there early!  You will be glad.

    After the race, it really depends on how quickly you finish.  The lines for the buses going back to resorts can be a little long.  The longest I have waited was about 15 minutes.  However, at the Princess Half this year, I did have a vehicle and wasn't at a host resort, so I drove myself to the race.  I left early enough that the trip over wasn't bad.  But, after the race, I was in the parking lot for over 45 minutes trying to exit.  The runners were still finishing up, the parks were getting their normal every day traffic into the parking lot, and there were still road closures.  The normal 15 minute drive took almost an hour and a half.  I definitely wished I had been riding on a bus! 

    The buses definitely run frequently, and I don't think you will have a wait longer than 15-20 minutes either way.  They also run to the expo/packet pick-up, 5K, and kids races.
