I plan to run the 2017 Disney princess half marathon. This will be my first time doing a rundisney race. Do you have any recommendations on hotels? I was told to look into pop century but I am not sure if they are a participating host. Thanks so much!

    Hi Stephanie!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The Disney Princess Half Marathon was also my first runDisney race.  It's a great weekend and I know you will have a blast!

First, the good news is that ALL of the Walt Disney World Resorts will be host resorts for the weekend. This means they will all provide bus transportation to and from race weekend events.  That's a huge benefit to staying on property.

So, browse the resorts at that link and consider a few things.  First, what is your budget?  There are Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts available so you will need to figure out how much you want to spend on a room.  For me, if I know that I will be spending a majority of my time in the parks and only crashing in my room at night, then I will choose a Value or Moderate.  But, if I am there alone or with my husband and we know we will spend more time relaxing in the room or resort area, then we may splurge a little more and go with a Deluxe.

Disney's Pop Century Resort is a great value and very popular for runners during race weekends.  I think that makes it fun because you are surrounded by kindred (running) spirits!

You can find more information on the Walt Disney World Travel page of the runDisney website, and please let me know if you have any other questions.
