My plan is to take the resort monorail to MK after watching the fireworks from California Grill on a MVMCP night. Will the resort monorail be running at that time? My plan is to then get a bus to AKL. Will this work? Is there another plan to consider?

    Hi Karen,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question about my favourite Disney dining location: California Grill!

I’ve often watched Special Event fireworks from the California Grill’s observation deck, including Holiday Wishes during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Based on my experience, both the resort monorail and Disney bus transportation are usually running until the end of the Party, so you should definitely be able to head back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge by taking a bus back to your Resort from Magic Kingdom Park.

If you’re willing to splurge a little bit, another option would be to use Disney’s Minnie Van Service after your meal. After all, what’s an indulgent meal with a little bit of pampering afterwards? :)

I hope my answer helps you plan a memorable end to your Disney day. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
