Hi Nancy,
The very first time I visited Disneyland Resort, I went with my dad, who was experiencing mobility challenges at the time. He
rented an ECV from Disneyland Resort that day, and even as a young child, I was so impressed by how accessible the Happiest Place on Earth was for my dad.
With that said, I would love to share a bit about the accessibility options for the
Disneyland Monorail. The Disneyland Monorail is one of many attractions throughout the resort where the Guest may remain in their ECV during the experience. At the Disneyland Monorail station in the
Downtown Disney District, your husband will only need to take an elevator up to the station's second floor, and then a Cast Member will guide him as he drives the ECV onto the monorail. For the Tomorrowland station, the entrance is a ramp with plenty of space for him to drive the ECV up to the second floor of the station to board.
Before your arrival, I recommend you look at the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities page to review the ambulatory requirements for each attraction in the resort. Also, when using the
Disneyland Mobile App, you can filter by ambulatory requirements on the map.
Have a magical time with your husband, and should you have another question, please consider bringing it to us at planDisney!
Best wishes,
Lola
