We plan on purchasing a dining plan, the one with the table service, quick service meal and a snack per day. We aren't arriving until late the first day. Do we need to purchase the plan for that first day?

    Hi Brayanne!

We are big Disney Dining Plan fans at my house.  With two teenage boys, dining is a big part of our trips!

When you purchase a dining plan, you will receive "credits".  With that particular plan, you will get one table-service, one quick-service, and one snack credit per day/per person.  The number of credits is equal to the number of nights you stay at your resort.  (ex. a seven night stay for a party of four = 28 table-service credits, 28 quick-service credits, and 28 snack credits)

It does not matter when you use the credits.  You can use as many credits per day (per type) as you wish. Each type of credit will simply be subtracted from your total number left as it is used.  So, if you want to have more than one snack per day, you can.  Additionally, the credits aren't assigned to a particular person. They can be used by anyone on the reservation as long as they are available.

You will have access to your credits on your check-in date, so you can use them if you want...or save them for the next day.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
