We plan to purchase the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party. We also hope to get boarding passes for Rise of the Resistance. What happens if our boarding time for the ride is the same time as the dessert party? Park closes 8:30pm the day we go.

    Bright Suns Jessica!

Thank you for bringing your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I sense the Force is strong with you, as you are willing to join the Resistance to defeat The First Order. The best way to do that is by experiencing Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Many of my fellow panelists have visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently with a dining reservation and boarding group. Master Donyell even offers some great training tips to defeat the Dark Side and enjoy a spectacular meal, just like she did on her recent travels. I can also provide you with a few more ways of the Force to help you through this planning process.

Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing which boarding group you will receive so the best thing to do is, plan and manage what you can! I highly recommend arriving at the park early. Many of my friends and family members have found that they have been able to secure a boarding group, on the days that they arrive to the park, before opening time.  Be sure to double check the park hours the evening before so that you can plan what time you would like to arrive.

Next, I would make my reservations for Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party. As of now, I am not seeing any availability for the month of April. Be sure to continue to check for a reservation opening prior to your arrival. I have also recently been told that there seems to be a window of 45 minutes to 1 hour where you are able to return to experience this attraction, once your boarding group has been called. This is able to change so keep that in mind when planning for your day. Even with the return timeframe, I do recommend boarding the attraction as soon as your group is called. This will allow you to leave the evening open for the dessert party, which seems to start at 7:30 p.m.

Jessica, I sense that the Force is strong with you and I trust that you will be able to defeat the Dark Side and celebrate with dessert!
