Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so glad you brought your question here to us. I'm so excited for you as you plan your very first visit to The Happiest Place On Earth this spring! One of the first things you can do is pick up a complimentary
Celebration Button at any of the retail stores on your way down Main Street, U.S.A. The Cast Members can't wait to shower her with well-wishes throughout your magical visit. They may even shower you with a bit of extra pixie dust here and there!
Now, let's talk about meeting Mickey and Minnie! My favorite spot is
Goofy's Kitchen. My toddler can't get enough of this special location. Even though it isn't private, Goofy and the gang spend an extra special amount of time with each table, so we always feel like VIPs there! Last spring, my little Mousketeer got an epic 2-minute and 33-second hug from Minnie in the middle of our dinner. How awesome is that?!
But since you're already planning to visit the theme park, a visit to
the new Mickey's Toontown is a must for any Mouseketeer. You and your crew can swing by
Mickey's House and take a photo with him backstage in his Movie Barn. I love this meet-and-greet because small groups are brought backstage not just to snap a photo but to spend quality time interacting with the Big Cheese himself.
Just next door at
Minnie's House, you'll be able to have the same personal interactions with Minnie at her backyard tea party on most days!
Oh, I almost forgot! From my experience, Mickey and Minnie don't typically make specific private appearances. However, I do know that my pal,
Panelist Prince S, was able to invite them to take special photos on his wedding day last year. So, if you're thinking of experiencing this precious moment on a grander scale, it might be worth reaching out to the amazing team at
Disney Weddings. Just something to consider!
I wish you a
Wondrous Journey to the Disneyland Resort this June! If you have any other questions or need more of
my favorite tips, just
shoot me a direct message and I'll get back to you in a jiffy!
Your pal,
Danielle
