Hi there James, I'm happy to wish you a wedding-planning welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you're in the midst of planning your
getting married here at Walt Disney World Resort, and as someone who spent years researching the venues and locations before having a Disney Wedding of my own last year, I was happy to do a little bit of research for you to provide you with the most current information to help you plan!
Choosing a brand-new location like
The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers means that pricing can be subject to change without prior notice, but I had the chance to speak with their Concierge Events team recently about our upcoming plans for a vow renewal and here are the details for the spaces you can book at the present time:
- The Garden Room is the largest space currently available can accommodate up to 40 guests, with views of Crescent Lake and is available for up to 3 hours at either 7:00 A.M, 11:00 A.M., 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. at a minimum food & beverage cost of $7000.
- The Lavender Room can accommodate up to 24 guests for events taking place at 8:30 P.M., 12:30 P.M., 4:30 P.M. and 8:30 P.M. for a minimum food and beverage expenditure of $4000 and offers the opportunity to have a shorter celebration for two and a half hours.
- The Champagne Room features a long table accommodating up to 16 guests in a much more intimate space that can be closed off from having other guests see you for an added bit of privacy; this is bookable for a $2800 food and beverage minimum.
At the current time, their in-house
concierge team is busy not only booking reservations for the Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea, but also taking down the information for those interested in private events so that they can reach out to you directly about availability. To book one of these rooms for a private event, a 50% deposit is required and there aren't any additional venue fees so the cost is based on how much you'll be spending on what you'd like to eat and drink - including the wedding cake! The very helpful concierge team member I spoke with said that you'd be able to choose
your favorites from the menu and possibly even customize what you'd like served; all of the private event meals are plated and not served buffet or family-style.
A few additional details they shared are that certain kinds of decor items you may want to bring are subject to approval, so you may want to send over reference images to see what may be permitted. (It may be important to note that since the events taking place here are not planned through Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, Disney Characters cannot be added.) As I mentioned, since this still all fairly new these details are only accurate as of the time of writing and may change for anyone planning an event in the future.
In my experience, hosting an event at
Disney's BoardWalk allows you and your guests to enjoy the ambience and easy access to EPCOT via International Gateway, and if you time your celebrations right you can enjoy strolling around as the sun sets and even catching a glimpse of fireworks to end the evening. Come back again soon for any other personal tips or wedding planning research I can provide for you James!
Here's hoping you find a place to celebrate your Happily Ever After!
