    We plan to be at the parks for NYE day - all day. Can we bring in food and soda? Love us a turkey leg at Disney but can’t afford three meals for the family and everything else.

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Suzanne! 

    Mmm! I love a delicious turkey leg from the Disneyland Resort too! I also love saving money on our Disneyland Resort vacations. That’s because it means we can then afford to go back more often! 

    Here are some tricks my family uses to save money on our visits to the Disneyland Resort.

    • We take small snacks with us. Yes, you are permitted to take outside food and beverages with you into the parks. We usually take a few granola bars, fruit snacks, and fresh fruit.
    • To stay hydrated, we take a few water bottles with us. Complimentary ice water is available from most quick-service restaurants. And no purchase is necessary. Or you can refill water bottles at various drinking fountains and water refill stations throughout the parks.
    • Rather than lug around heavy sodas, we sometimes take small packets of flavored beverage powder to add to cold water.
    • We usually take a backpack with us to help carry water, snacks, jackets, fans, and other small items. Just be sure your pack is within the permitted size limits.
    • To prepare for our visits to Disney Parks, we collect Disney Gift Cards. This helps us stay within a set budget for our dining and souvenir needs. And we can save a little extra by purchasing gift cards at a discount from select retail stores and wholesale warehouses.
    • We are always sure to keep an eye on the latest Disneyland Resort offers and discounts.
