Welcome to planDisney, Amy!
For me, there's no better way to experience Walt Disney World Resort than by channeling my inner White Rabbit and hopping between theme parks. I'm all about enjoying an early morning
safari through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve when the animals are most active, savoring a delightful lunch among the stars in EPCOT's
Space 220 Restaurant, and wrapping up the evening by singing and dancing along to a performance of
Fantasmic! Happily,
Walt Disney World Resort's complimentary transportation means that parking hopping doesn't require physical hopping. Instead, you can climb aboard a bus, boat, monorail, or aerial gondola!
As you mentioned, Walt Disney World Resort's four theme parks have varying operating hours. Because of this, Walt Disney World Resort's transportation policy states that each theme park's complimentary transportation is offered until about an hour after the park closes for the day, and while theme park parking lots are intended for day use, there is no standard closing time. As long as you can get back to the park, you should be able to get to your car! If you have concerns about the timing, I encourage you to speak to a parking Cast Member in the morning about your plans for the day. If they foresee any issues, they'll let you know!
Because Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park closes a bit before Walt Disney World's other theme parks, I don't suggest leaving your car there on a day you're planning to stay at another theme park until it closes for the day. On days my husband and I park at Animal Kingdom in the morning, we typically opt to drive to our next destination of the day so that we don't have the stress of attempting to make our way back to a long-closed theme park at the end of our day.
planDisney pixie dust: Don't forget to use the
Car Locator feature in the My Disney Experience app each time you park! This easy-to-use tool will allow you to save your parking location directly in the app so that you don't have to wander aimlessly around a parking lot at the end of a long day on theme park-weary feet.
I hope this information was helpful, Amy! If you have any additional questions about your upcoming visit, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
