I plan to do a 1 park for 1 day reservation, but I would like to go to Downtown Disney. Is it possible to leave Disneyland to shop at Downtown Disney and return to Disneyland after I'm done shopping?

    Hi Shaina!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing a great question our way!

Guests of the Disneyland Resort theme parks and the Downtown Disney District are required to pass through security before admittance. So if you want to visit the shops and restaurants, then return to the theme parks after you’ve done some shopping, you’ll simply need to present your theme park ticket at the main entrance turnstiles to re-enter (subject to theme park capacity.)

When I’m ready for a break from the parks, I love to hop on the Disneyland Monorail for a trip to the Downtown Disney District. My favorite place to visit is Salt & Straw! After you’re done shopping, head to this ice cream shop to try a double scoop of Freckled Mint TCHO-colate Chip and Peanut Butter Brittle Carmel Fudge! You won’t be disappointed! For convenience, I ask for my ice cream in a cup with a sugar cone on top.

I hope this information is helpful! Please head back to planDisney with additional questions!
