I want to plan a multipass for a party of 7. After I select my 3 rides, do I have to pay for all 7 people, then get them to pay me? Or somehow can I just pay for me and they pay for their own multipass? Can another person get a multipass for the same group?

    Hiya Theresa!

Welcome back again to planDisney! So lovely to see how much we have been able to be a part of your Walt Disney World Resort travels over the years. I'm glad to help you plan your day using Lightning Lane Multi Pass as I just had a chance to test it out a few weeks ago.

You can purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for any guest who is a part of your Family & Friends List and has a valid theme park ticket for the day you are visiting. When you make your purchase there is an option to select your party. This is where you can choose to pay for all 7 guests all at once or pick the party you want. You will not be able to split the payment method and use two different credit cards as I just tried and it didn't work. After playing around with the system and taking into consideration that you would want to enjoy the same attractions together that day, I suggest that one person pay for everyone and you figure out how to pay each other back. Another option that is not ideal for the other people in your Party is for them to pay for their own Lightning Lane Multi Pass and select their attractions. This will be difficult to coordinate as each of you may have different times and attractions to select from on the My Disney Experience Mobile App. The planning will just get confusing and you will have to coordinate with precision.

Anyone can purchase the Lighting Lane Multi Pass for the group so the burden does not have to be upon you solely. Take turns if you like so that your credit card does not have to make all of the purchases which can add up. Theoretically, one person cannot have two Lightning Lane Multi Passes for the same day so another guest should not be able to accidentally buy the service for the same people you purchased for.

When selecting the attractions for the day my top tip is to pick one attraction to be as close to your Park arrival time. You cannot book another Lightning Lane return time until you use one so getting one done right away lets you select your next one right away! On my last trip, I used Lightning Lane Multi Pass for 9 attractions and it was heaven! I just started with one in the morning and then kept selecting another one as soon as I used the last one. It was very easy and a perfect way to spend my time in the queue.

I hope this helps and you have a fabulous time!

    Happy Planning!
