Hi - we plan on going to MK for the day in March and are not staying on property. Can I buy the tickets and put them on the Magic Bands we used on our trip in October 2016? They are original Magic Bands (not the newer ones). Thanks!

    Hello Christine!
Yes, you can use your MagicBands from a previous Walt Disney World vacation for your next Walt Disney World vacation as long as they are active in your My Disney Experience. The battery inside the MagicBand typically lasts for up to two years or more so you can use your MagicBand for more than one Walt Disney World vacation and you can use them even if you are not staying in a Walt Disney World Resort. Once your have purchased your new tickets, you can link them to your My Disney Experience account. First sign in to your My Disney Experience account, then link your Walt Disney World tickets by selecting My Reservations and Tickets and then press the button called Link Tickets (you will need the ticket numbers or Ticket IDs to link them--the My Disney Experience website gives examples of various ticket number types as well as pictures of where to locate the ticket numbers on the tickets themselves). When the new tickets have been linked and assigned to each individual in your traveling party in My Disney Experience, then they should work with your existing MagicBands as long as your MagicBands are still active in your My Disney Experience account (you can check the status of your MagicBands in My Disney Experience to verify this). I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
